Description

Tour the countryside of Liezere! Liezēres parish is one of the administrative territories of Madona districts in the north of it. The parish is located in the central highlands of Vidzeme, the territory of the parish is very hilly with a beautiful landscape. The area is rich in forests and small rivers. The territory of Liezere Parish, as found in archeological excavations, was inhabited a very long time ago. 1915 testifies to this. the seat of the Stone Age lake found in the northern part of Liezere lake. Linguists have established that many place names on the Liezere side originate from the Estonian language. Liezēres pagastā 2012. 1423 inhabitants were registered. Although the current rural area is large, population density is low. The largest settlements in the parish area are Liezere village and Ozolu village.
