LTD "Surdovest" - the beginning of the surdological and vestibular rehabilitation center was created in the early nineties. Medical professor Osvalds Plepis, who at that time already had 40 years of medical practice, together with his son Dr. Aivars Plēpi opened a private practice. In his practice, the doctor uses both traditional and holistic or alternative treatment methods. Dr. Plēpis is a member of the Latvian Association of Holistic Medicine and Naturopathy. One of the most effective treatment methods is needle therapy or acupuncture. This is also done with the help of a laser. Special needles work on specific points in the body to treat and relieve pain. Acupuncture can regulate metabolism, treat obesity or cellulite. Aivars Plepis also has a certificate from a physical and rehabilitation medicine doctor.
