About RUUTe

RUUTe is my, Inese Vasilevska, favorite work. The word RUUTe comes from the medicinal plant fragrant ruta( Ruta graveolens) . RUUTe symbolizes nature, its power, solidity and roots, as well as being in this time and place.

Combining the rational with love, the wisdom of the ancestors with modern knowledge, RUUTe has been created. Here I create products for face and body skin care with the scent of meadow flowers and the power of nature. It is a process of creation, discovery, exploration and surrender.

I am a doctor by education. I became deeply interested in plants and their effects twelve years ago, when I started to learn the wisdom and secrets of Latvian saunas. I also got to know the world of plants in my research work, writing my master's thesis "Latvijā biežāk lietoto ārstniecības augu bioloģiski aktīvo vielu saistība ar šo augu pielietojumu tautas medicīnā" .

I have learned and continue to learn how to make natural cosmetics. It is a never-ending process of creation. My intention and goal is to ensure the natural origin of cosmetic ingredients. The plant components that I use in the products I prepare, I grow myself, collect in the nature of Latvia and produce( extracts, distillates) . I buy the other high-quality and natural ingredients from reliable suppliers in France and Great Britain.

All offered cosmetic products are microbiologically tested in the laboratory, because the quality and safety of the products is important to me.
