Description
Social rehabilitation and residence of adult victims of violence. Women and men who have suffered from violence can receive social rehabilitation from us( physical, sexual, economic or emotional abuse, threats of physical or sexual abuse, or violent control) . Minors can be admitted as companions. An adult is admitted for 30 days. The service can be extended up to 60 days if a criminal or administrative case has been initiated. This service is paid for by the state. There is an opportunity to receive other services - accommodation in a crisis situation, psychological services.
Social rehabilitation of children affected by illegal activities
Children who have suffered from violence can receive social rehabilitation with us( physical, emotional, sexual, neglect) . A trusted person of the child can be accepted as a companion( mother, foster mother), if necessary. The child is admitted for 30 days or 60 days if criminal proceedings have been initiated for a criminal offense. This service is paid for by the state and administered by the Latvian Children's Fund. The service is regulated by the MK 22.12.2009. regulations no. 1613 “Procedure for providing necessary assistance to a child who has suffered from unlawful acts. The following documents are required to receive services at the crisis center:- Description of the social case situation( see forms) ;
- Social Service referral( see forms) ;
- A psychologist or social worker's opinion that the child has suffered violence;
- Contract for service provision( see forms) ;
- Medical certificate from a family doctor regarding the child's current health condition, listing chronic illnesses and prescribed medications at the time of submission.
Social rehabilitation of adult victims of violence
Since 2015. women who have suffered from violence can receive social rehabilitation from us( physical, sexual, economic or emotional abuse or threats of physical or sexual abuse, or violent control) . Like children, women can also stay here for 30 days, or 60 days if the woman is recognized as a victim within the framework of administrative proceedings related to violence or within the framework of criminal proceedings related to violence or threats of violence. The service is regulated by MK 23.12. 2014 Regulations No. 790. The following documents are required to receive services at the crisis center:- Expert opinion;
